Our ambitions and progress:

  1. We have increased the percentage of existing homes using air source heat pumps to 52% by 2040.

In 2024, government funded heat pump installations in the South East reached 5,815.

  1. All suitable domestic properties in the borough have achieved an EPC level C (or equivalent) by 2035, where practical and cost effective.

As of 2025, most domestic dwellings in the Borough are rated EPC D (36%).

  1. All suitable commercial properties in the borough have achieved an EPC level C (or equivalent) by 2027 and EPC level B (or equivalent) by 2030.

As of 2025, most commercial dwellings in the Borough are rated either EPC C & D (56%).
