
A vibrant, inspiring and joy-filled day of climate action is coming to Tunbridge Wells this spring, as the Tunbridge Wells Climate & Nature Fair 2026 returns to Calverley Grounds on Sunday 3rd May 2026 (10:00 – 17:00).
Bringing together residents, families, businesses, innovators and environmental leaders, the Fair is designed to spark real, practical action while celebrating the power of community. With a strong focus on “Community Action: Local Impact”, the event invites everyone – from the quietly concerned to the already active to discover how small, local steps can create meaningful change.
A Day of Hope, Action and Celebration
Running from 10am to 5pm, this full-day event offers a lively mix of inspiring talks, hands-on activities, entertainment and opportunities to connect. Entry is free and visitors can expect a welcoming, festival-like atmosphere filled with ideas, creativity and optimism.
From interactive exhibits and expert panels to music, dance, poetry and an upcycled fashion catwalk, the Fair blends learning with fun – making it accessible and engaging for all ages.
Headline Speakers Announced
The 2026 programme features an exciting line-up of nationally recognised voices:
● Michaela Strachan-much-loved presenter of Springwatch will deliver a special talk, Extreme Conservation Conversations, exploring how nature and innovation can help to overcome the ecological crisis and inspiring personal pledges for change.
● Dr Rupert Read- Founder of the Climate Majority Project will offer a thought-provoking perspective on the future of Western civilisation and the power of collective action.
● Tony Juniper CBE – Leading environmental campaigner and Chair of Natural England sets out how deepening inequalities and ecological damage are fundamentally connected and so solutions need to embrace both.
● Dr Ella Gilbert, Antarctic Climate scientist, asks ‘Just how screwed are we – really?’ – translating the facts and encouraging us to move beyond hope, take courage and take action.
● Isabel Losada – broadcaster and author of ‘The Joyful Environmentalist’, brings humour and honesty together, blending outrage with laughter.
